Green beauty SPFs are light and breathable, smell good, are good for the skin and feel like daily moisturizers. Below I have new spfs, stick sunscreens, tinted lip conditioners with SPF, sun protection for babies, tinted spf and even post-sun natural aloe gel.
Solara is a new brand for me and I have to say, they hit it out of the park! I’ve currently tried their Glow Getter SPF 30 (that gives you that pretty Jen Aniston, Jen Lopez glow that looks so good during the summer. It’s light, the scent is beachy and fresh and there’s no white cast. Their unscented face sunscreen, Time Traveler spf30 absorbs fast, works to repair skin damage, brightens and protects against blue light and pollution, too! They also have Clean Freak, their spf30 with 10 antioxidants and nutrients. This one is light, has a pretty, subtle scent and is a great daily sunscreen. Check out their line here. Meow Meow Tweet The Everyday Sunscreen is on my desk as I type this. Tara, the founder of MMT told me that it took years to perfect the formula and I love it. What’s great is that it’s vegan, has eco-friendly aluminum packaging (so easy to throw in your bag for the beach…nothing leaks and it doesn’t get sticky), can be used on both body and face, has a light and pretty scent of rose and geranium, won’t clog pores, feels smooth without a white case and has moisturizing ingredients, too. Plus, it’s affordable at $22 here.
Malu Protecting Day Cream + SPF 30 What’s cool is having your basic, gorgeous day cream, but it has an added SPF of 30, so you don’t even feel like you’re wearing sunscreen. With added ingredients to tone, soothe and clear uneven skintone like Hawaiian Laukahi, Noni and Jasmine, this little day cream does more than protect from the sun, it’s skincare. It has a light, bright and pretty Jasmine scent. Beauty Heroes’ members get 15% off here.
Josh Rosebrook’s Nutrient Day Cream SPF 30 I’ve been using this organic sunscreen for the past few years and have to say it’s a cult favorite for us bloggers. Why? First off, it feels like a light lotion, has no white cast and the ingredients will protect, repair and moisturize the skin. This is also matte and is good for oily/acne-prone skin, too. You need very little and it’s worth the investment. Plus, it has a faint scent of vanilla that everyone goes nuts for, too! If you need a tinted version, he’s got that, as well. Shop here.
Babo Botanicals’ Sunscreens, Post-Sun Gel + Tinted Lip Conditioners SPF 15 These lip conditioners are perfect for Spring/Summer and trips to the beach. Non-sticky, with the prettiest tint, these gluten-free, 100% natural, kid safe lippies condition the lips, keep them soft all while providing and SPF of 15. Contains organic shea butter, cocoa seed butter and beeswax along with avocado and jojoba oils to soothe. They also have lots of sunscreens for kids and adults and a post-sun hydrating gel that’s pure and effective! Get them here.
Coola Sport Need a sunscreen tinted stick? Or, a sunscreen stick for babies? There’s a few new mineral sunscreens out now. With their Mineral Sport SPF 50 Tinted Sunscreen Stick you get “80 minutes of water resistance, broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection” plus, a golden tint. This formula has Sea Kelp Extract, Coconut and Avocado Oil and Vitamin E. It’s also 70%+ organic. They also have a few sunscreen sticks and lotions for babies, too. Check them out here.
Lip Conditioners with SPF Here’s a bunch of different lip balms that have SPF within. Some have tints and some a just clear. One thing that I know from personal experience is that it’s very important to protect the lips, especially if you’re going to be out in the sun or in the sun and in water! Using regular lip gloss is a big no-no as I learned the hard way in Turks a few years ago. Check out these gorgeous tinted and un-tinted brands.
Sanre SPF I’ve been using this brand since I started in green beauty and they are totally organic! The great thing about this brand is that they are handcrafted, have the best ingredients, are lightweight and are day creams with SPF, so you only need this. They have a few different kinds, too: Supple Sunshine, Shaded Rose and Sparkling Aloe. See which one is best for you here.
Kari Gran’s Three Sixty Five Excellent for the drier types! This SPF 28 is to be worn 365 days a year and I couldn’t agree more. Silky and moisturizing, this sunblock has the feel of a velvety serum/day cream. You need very little so as not to get a white cast. This SPF can also be blended with mineral foundation for a liquid foundation. It really feels absolutely wonderful on the skin and if you’ve got mature skin, go for this. This sunblock protects from both UVA and UVB rays that burn the skin, so it truly is a broad spectrum SPF. 10% off with code: GPJ. Shop here.
Kypris’ Heliotropic Pot of Shade SPF 30 I’m pretty much in love with gluten-free Heliotropic. Why? Because I love that it comes in a pot and that I can just take a bit out and apply it like a light cream all over my face. It’s moisturizing and doesn’t dry out my skin or leave a white cast. This does not contain any essential oils, so it’s great for those who suffer from irritation. I also love the way it leaves my skin looking, too: healthy with a pretty dewy finish (not shiny, though). Shop here.
