the body oil
True Botanicals Deep Hydrating Body Oil This is truly one of my favorite scents, all-time. It’s a fresh-out-of-the-shower fragrance, it’s light and it absorbs quickly, so it’s idea the upcoming Spring/Summer weather. Key ingredients? Apricot Kernel Oil to plump cells and protect against a loss of moisture, sesame seed oil to heal, reduce flaking and form a protective barrier and Watermelon Seed oil which goes beyond nourishing the skin to even help it eliminate toxins through the skin. Non-greasy, it also helps to retain skin elasticity. Here’s to wishing my bottle will never run out! New customers get $20 off with code: KATIETRUE20. $95
the toothpaste
Theodent Classic Whitening Crystal Mint Toothpaste Theodent has found an alternative to fluoride (which you might want to read about if you’re still using) known as Rennou™ (a compound that occurs naturally in…chocolate of all things)! benefits of Rennou? It’s been proven to harden and re-mineralize tooth enamel, thereby reducing tooth sensitivity. I’ve been really enjoying this toothpaste for a few reasons: tastes minty and fresh (unlike a lot of non-toxic pastes I’ve used in the past) and my teeth feel super clean post-brush. I’m hoping they’ll work on their packaging…a little less plastic and no need for that plastic top! Other than that, a great new find. Bonus? They also have a kids’ toothpaste, too! $14
the nude lip
Naked by Nudus I really can’t pull off a nude, but I wish I could. I love the bronzed goddess look in the Summer with a nude lip. I received a sample of Nudus Naked and after applying it, realized that this is one rich-looking nude. It’s got pigment, so it’s not going to wash you out, plus it doesn’t have that typical ashy/gray undertone, but rather a warm tone with a slight, slight shimmer. I would say it’s a true nude, which would look just gorgeous with some Solar on the eye and Buriti Bronzer on the cheeks. $35
the deodorant
Meow Meow Tweet Baking Soda Free Grapefruit Deodorant Now that the warmer weather is on its way (wouldn’t know it from our NYC forecast, though), it bears repeating: this is one great non-toxic deodorant. This deodorant is perfect for sensitive skin types as there’s no baking soda. Dietary magnesium and arrowroot powder will keep you dry, while the organic grapefruit essential oil keeps you smelling fresh and citrusy! Need more convincing? $14
the eye serum
Laurel Whole Plant Organics’ Eye Serum I’ll tell you why I’m really enjoying this new eye serum from Laurel. Beyond the fact that it has 21 beneficial ingredients that were specifically chosen to work on fine lines, puffiness, inflammation and dark circles, it’s one of the only eye serums that is designed for daytime use as the quick-absorbing formula makes putting on eye makeup super easy…no waiting for it to sink in! I’ve been using this non-stop since I received it and love the way my concealer goes on. $68
the massage oil
Province Apothecary’s Lover’s Oil – Province Apothecary has created a massage oil formula using essential oils recognized as aphrodisiacs (oh, la, la!) The cool thing about this scent is that it’s not too female, not too male. It’s a mix of rose, cedar, ylang-ylang, jasmine, rosemary, bergamot, sage, vetiver and cardamom. This oil spreads easy, absorbs quickly and smells so exhilarating. In a nutshell, Cedar wood oil helps dispel negative energy, rose helps build confidence, ylang-ylang reduces stress, anxiety and nervousness and Jasmine is mood-lifting and awakens passion. I think this would make for a great gift for your partner who would most probably end up using it on you because you were so thoughtful…win-win, yes? $20
