There’s a new trend in skincare and it’s about brightening, exfoliating (without the grains) and bringing the skin back to health. I am now obsessed with these products and they’ve become a HUGE part of my skincare routine. Note: if you’re sensitive, make certain that they are good for sensitive skin as these can be very active. Check out the specials here, too!
BLUE LABELLE’S GLOW POWDER CLEANSER The enzymes in this product really work and are so gentle, so it’s a huge surprise. This cleanser can also be used as a mask (which I like to do as I feel it gives the enzymes more time to work their magic! If you’re looking to brighten up your skin (and make it super smooth) without the use of harsh grains, you’ll love this citrusy new powder with coconut milk powder, pineapple enzyme, Vitamin C and PHA. Plus, the sweet scent makes it even more fun to use! Get it here.
VITAMIN C BOOSTER by True Botanicals So, this powder booster is the one that started it all for me. When I know that I’m going to be doing something the next day that requires that my skin be really clear and bright, I add a few shakes of this into my face oil and slather it on at nighttime. Having the booster in powder form allows it to remain as potent as possible. GWP: Every qualifying order will receive a free bottle of the new TB hand sanitizer. HAWAIIAN NIGHTS Mahalo has recently released their new overnight serum, Hawaiian Nights. “Plant-derived vitamin A boosts epidermal cellular renewal and pro-aging support of the skin.” If your skin is too sensitive for synthesized retinol, this is your ticket. It’s also great for irritated, dry skin, pigmentation, aging skin and acneic inflammation. I’ve been using Hawaiian Nights for a few weeks now, and I can say that it definitely plumps up the skin, leaves it brighter, softer and healthier, overall. It’s rich, smells fantastic and feels amazing when left on overnight. The scent? “Herbaceous, notes of tart sea buckthorn, rosehip, and turmeric, lightly softened by the romantic notes of Hawaiian midnight blooming jasmine and sweet ylang ylang.” Check it out here.
THE REFRESH MINT by Maya Chia This mask was just recently released and has received a ton of attention due to it’s absolutely gorgeous aqua-blue color. A liquid gel, The Refresh Mint aims to gently flip a lackluster complexion into a bright, healthy-looking complexion that’s clear and hydrated. Four different types of gentle acids in addition to enzymes and hydrators, work together to smooth, brighten, reduce redness and improve skin’s texture and clarity. Follow directions and don’t leave it on for longer than suggested. I love using this before a night out as my makeup goes on better! Get it here.
ZAHARA REWIND TONIC by Native Atlas So, this little guy is great and a bit less potent than some of the others and is good for all skin types. Use this 2-3 times a week after cleansing and it gives your skin a nice re-start. It has an AHA and salicylic acid blend plus (my favorite) colloidal silver for a healthy, fresh-looking complexion. I’m really enjoying this and it’s a great one to start with if you’re looking to get into these slowly. Shop here.
THE FACIAL by Ayuna Okay, so this one comes in two potencies: low and high. I’m still using the Low and I’m good with that! This has really changed my skin and I wake up with a really healthy, fresh, glowing complexion when I use it before bed. I don’t recommend this for sensitive skins as it really is potent. The Facial helps to balance the skin’s microbiota, smooth and brighten with probiotics and it’s great for hyper pigmentation, for helping congested/acne-prone skin and for mature skin issues like dull skin.
