Kahina Giving Beauty will always be a favorite of mine. It’s the first brand that I ever reviewed and I find the quality and performance of their products to be perfect.
Here’s some new Kahina that I’ve tested!
NEW SOAP!
Lemongrass Nettle If you absolutely and truly love, love, love lemon, you will die for this bar. As soon as you take it out of the gorgeous packaging, you’ll smell thee most heavenly lemon scent and, believe it or not, the refreshing scent will last for as long as you have your bar. It’s so smooth and hydrating, it really is a huge treat to use this. My new favorite! PS: These soaps would make an excellent gifts! $18
Goat Milk and Honey Argan Soap This moisturizing soap hydrates with goat milk, honey, argan oil, olive, coconut and shea oils. Although unscented, it does smell very pretty and fresh. In the shower, it’s silky and feels so moisturizing on the skin. Oh, and it sounds like a dream for sensitive types!
Rosemary Lavender Argan Soap I really love a great exfoliating soap. Kahina’s Rosemary Lavender Argan Soap has ground rosemary to stimulate circulation and to slough off dry skin (love it on the thighs). Gentle on the skin, you’ll feel super moisturized and softer after using it…trust me on this, okay?
PRICKLY PEAR SEED OIL
The first thing you’ll notice about Kahina’s Prickly Pear Seed Oil is the packaging. It’s different from what we’re used to from Kahina because although they get it from the same co-op that makes their argan oil, this oil is packaged at the source, hence the difference. You may have been hearing a lot about prickly pear seed oil of late, or by its other names: Barbary fig seed oil, Indian fig seed oil, and prickly cactus seed oil. Due to the fact that its rich in amino acids, Vitamin K, essential fatty acids and antioxidants, it’s held in very high regard in the green beauty world.
I’ve been using this oil non-stop since I received it and am almost out (that rarely happens to me). With a slight scent of hay, this oil goes on incredibly smooth and spreads easily. It’s a tad richer in feel going on than argan oil, but I found that I liked to layer a light moisturizer on top (like Kahina Night Cream!) To me, this would be perfect if you want an oil that’s a little lighter than argan oil. $38 – 150
Benefits:
• Moisturizes and softens skin
• Restores elasticity
• Neutralizes free radicals that cause signs of aging
• Brightens undereye circles and minimizes spider veins
FEZ HAND & BODY BALM
I’d been hearing about Kahina’s Fez Hand & Body Balm non-stop from pretty much everyone who owned it, so I was absolutely thrilled to be able to actually try it out myself. Beyond the fact that the ingredients are just so incredibly solid, this balm moisturizes without ever feeling greasy or heavy. With other balms I’ve tried, I’ve applied them and then went to get a tissue to wipe away any excess. Definitely not the case here. This balm melts into the skin and makes my hands look and feel smooth after application.
With the exotic scent of Kahina’s signature Fez (a warm, smokey, exotic scent that I love for Fall/Winter) this hand and body balm is one product in which the ingredients were just back-to-back heavy hitters. I have to say that I do think that this is probably thee most pure and moisturizing balm you could buy. Highly recommended! $48
