I’ve been so eager to tell you about Osmia Organics’ new Luz collection since I first tried it several months ago.
Why You’ll Love It
Luz Enzyme Facial Soap
Luz, Spanish for light, was created by Sarah Villafranco of Osmia Organics to both hydrate and make the skin glow. Why will you love this? Because I believe that having a mild exfoliating routine that doesn’t require the use of grains or anything harsh, but rather a gentle, hydrating enzyme soap is brilliant. Not only does this soap clean well, but my face feels soft, my skin looks fresh and it’s not at all drying (something feared with most bar soaps). With a delicious-smelling citrus/herbal scent, this soap lathers up perfectly and is also great for travel. I just put the soap in a plastic bag and always let it dry out before I put it back in my luggage. $24
Luz Facial Brightening Serum
In a word? Dreamy. A huge fan of neroli, I find the scent of this serum to be intoxicating. The Luz Facial Brightening Serum has a silky soft feel to it and spreads onto the skin easily. Although it’s recommended that you introduce this serum gradually to allow your skin to adjust, I want to go on record as saying that my particular skin needed no adjustment period; I took to it immediately. My skin feels so, so soft, is hydrated (I needed no other moisturizer) clear and bright. Highly recommended! $75
How It Works
The Luz Enzyme Facial Soap uses organic pumpkin and tomato to give a gentle exfoliation, while the organic honey and camellia seed oil keep the skin hydrated and happy. So pure, this soap also contains essential oils of carrot seed (I’m hearing amazing things about this oil, recently) carrot root, rosewood and geranium which gives the soap both
The Luz Brightening Facial Serum contains all of the heavy hitters: argan oil, camellia seed, prickly pear, broccoli seed oil and organic sunflower oil, to name a few. Together you’ll get a serum that’s rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, a serum that boosts collagen, is anti-inflammatory, improves tone and leaves skin soft and hydrated. The enzymatic ingredients in the serum (pumpkin, papaya and mushroom extracts) work to break down old skin cells…giving you that bright skin we’re all hoping to get. Doesn’t this serum sound wonderful?
Although it’s sold separately, I really do love the idea of these products being used together as I find that they really do work hand-in-hand and were designed to work as such.
