I’ve had a lot of the same staples for many years now, but between this year and last year, there’s been some knockout products that definitely made it into my All Stars!
Red Apple Lipsticks
I’ve been tweeting about Red Apple lipsticks because I know they’re gluten-free and vegan, but I hadn’t gotten the chance to ever test them out. So, okay, I’m not joking here, they’re a new favorite. Why? They are sorta glossy. Yes, glossy! Now, I’m not saying that they are like lip glosses, but out of all of the non-toxic lipsticks I’ve been wearing over the years, these are definitely thee most moisturizing, soft and best-feeling on the lips. I currently have Audrey and Pinkle Twinkle and I’ve been wearing them since the day I got them. They are definitely not at all matte and for that, I love ’em! I’m also loving the gloss in Bridesmaid! Even if you’re not gluten-free, vegan or whatever, please give these a try, I’m pretty disappointed I hadn’t tried them sooner! $23 DEAL: 22% off with any $50 purchase. Code: GPJ !
Meow Meow Tweet Tangerine, Basil + Poppy Seed Soap
Sometimes when I’m running around I want to take the easy way out; I’m not in the mood for the whole sugar/salt scrub thing, so reaching for a bar of exfoliating soap is so easy (and fun…I love all of the poppy seeds!) I’m also recommending this soap for ingrown hairs post-wax. Make sure you wait a few days and then make this soap part of your exfoliation routine to guard against ingrown hairs. Not only does it smell wonderful, but those damn, cute lil poppies just really make skin smooth! $10
Stark Skincare Grapefruit Cleanse + Hydrate Balm
I have to say that I’ve been missing this since I finished it last week. I love this cleanser which can also be used as a hydrating balm. It’s a great way to remove makeup while hydrating the skin. It’s always good too get in a little face massage while you’re cleaning the skin and I love using a warm towel to gently wipe it off when I’m finished massaging. Bonus? It smells like grapefruit…omg! $42
Lina Hanson’s Satori
It’s no secret that if I love something, I’m kinda not shutting up about it until a fair number of people have taken my advice and gone out and tried it. Satori is definitely the “it” fragrance for this year (and beyond…not to worry). I can’t imagine it not appealing to everyone because every single person that I know who has sniffed it has come back for seconds. I would say it’s citrusy, kinda spicy and it holds up really well! If you need a pure, new fragrance….this one! $105
Kjaer Weis Embrace Blush
Nothing beats this beautiful, natural-looking pinkish, nudish cream blush. It melts into the skin, looks dewy and fresh and the color is just the right tint to make you look awake! This is a definite new staple for me as it’s the kind of color that can’t be improved upon, it’s just that kind of blush colored blush! Plus, it’s refillable and the packaging is, as you know, gorgeous! $56
SkinOwl Beauty Drops & Beauty Drops PM
I’ve always been a fan of SkinOwl and their new Mangosteen face oil for nighttime does not disappoint. I wake up with hydrated, bright skin. Oh, and the smell! Wow. Their Beauty Drops (in Geranium) was one of the quickest face oils I ever used up…my skin loved it. I recommend this line all the time. Oh, and I forgot to add to the graphic, but their Body Oil? One of the best, too! You can also get SkinOwl at Pharmaca.
True Botanicals
I’m so happy to have gotten the opportunity to have used several of the True Botanicals products. Every single thing that I’ve tried has been such high-quality and has had primo ingredients. Plus, they do what they promise.
