The latest in green beauty: a do-it-all fruity cleanser, a body mask duo, handcrafted skincare in from Boston and new compostable deodorant scents!
TRUE BOTANICALS’ PURE RADIANCE BODY DUO
True Botanicals has just released their new Body Duo that includes their Resurfacing Body Mask and Pure Radiance Body Oil. This is the way to get dewy, glowing, moisturized skin this Spring/Summer. My skin is baby-soft now and although you need only do this ritual twice a week, I could make time for this much more often, trust me. TB set out to create a ritual that would offer the body a gentle exfoliation, followed by an antioxidant-rich body oil to hydrate for glowing skin. What better time than after a long, cold Winter, right? The Resurfacing Body Mask is made with plant-based lactic acid to gently exfoliate skin, stimulate collagen production and help to retain firmness. After exfoliating, the skin is open to absorb the moisturizing essential fatty acids and nutrients that Pure Radiance Body Oil offers. How good does that sound? DEAL: new customers get $20 off their first order with code: KATIETRUE20. Get it here.
LEAHLANI’S PAMPLEMOUSSE
Leahlani’s new Tropical Enzyme Cleanser, Pamplemousse (grapefruit in French) is so unique and sooo easy. Why? Because it’s an oil cleanser that completely washes off with water – yep, no cloth or rubbing required. Known for their luscious scents, the first thing you’ll notice when you apply this cleanser to your face is the delicious scent of pink and white grapefruit, vanilla bean and plumeria flowers. Massaging Pamplemousse into the skin is more like a facial treatment than a chore and I recommend that you take your time, giving the enzymes a chance to work their skin-softening magic. I have to say that Pamplemousse makes washing away all traces of makeup and mascara completely effortless. This cleanser has been leaving my face feeling like I just washed off a gentle exfoliating mask and I’ve never had that with a cleanser before. Pamplemousse is recommended for all skin types. 28 LITSEA
Splurge Skincare is now 28 Litsea (need to find out the origin of the new name!) Margot of The Choosy Chick is, as her name suggests, very choosy when she’s deciding what lines to carry in her online green beauty store. So, if it’s there, you know two things for certain: the ingredients are super clean and the quality is of the highest caliber. I’ve tested out two products from Boston’s 28 Litsea: their Tinted Petala balm in In Love (a pretty, super subtle baby pink that I’m currently wearing) and their Top Note Wild Citrus Body Oil that I have almost entirely used up. I’m a big, big fan of citrus, and this body oil smells like a citrus grove. With only a few ingredients, you can tell that it’s handcrafted and pure. 28 Litsea also has a body scrub that looks very, very tempting and an all-purpose balm, plus more lip balms (a tint of color at the beach, anyone?) Oh, and the line is affordable, too. Shop here.
MEOW MEOW TWEETS NEW SCENTS
The only deodorant that I ever carry around with me is Meow Meow Tweet’s compostable baking soda free deodorant in Grapefruit. So, I’m pretty psyched that they’ve just released two new scents: Cedar Spruce and Rose Geranium (I can’t wait to smell this one). I’m guessing that the Cedar Spruce would be great for men, too, so if your man needs a non-t0xic deodorant, go for this. Proudly served up in 100% compostable packaging, it’s also 100% vegan and it works. MMT also carry deodorants that include baking soda and they have a jarred deodorant, too! Get it here.
