I’ve been testing out so much great green beauty these days and yes, this list is all over the place, but I wanted to share ’em with you!  So, here goes…

NEW LIPGLOSS FROM KJAER WEIS + A DEAL!

Lipgloss from KW   Okay, I love them!  I just received them the other day.  So, how are they?  They are excellent glosses.  Subtle scent, consistency is gorgeous – non-sticky, smooth, semi-sheer, but leave a pigment.  My favorites are Fascination (more pink than raspberry as described below) and Tenderness.  They are also refillable (just remove the top).  Integrity Botanicals is carrying five of the six colors:

NEW FROM ODACITE

Black Mint Cleanser  Oily?  Acne-prone?  Odacité has been creating some of, in my opinion, the greatestand most innovative skin care out in the world of green beauty.  Their latest release, vegan, non-gmo Black Mint Cleanser is a minty gel that transforms (magically, it seems) into this gorgeous foam.  While it cleans skin and eliminates excess oil, the skin feel invigorated, fresh, super clean and all without any dryness.  It’s exactly what oily types have been wanting for forever – a good, solid clean without the dryness and tightness.  With activated charcoal, Rhassoul clay, peppermint, tea tree and Apple Wash.  Get it here.

Culinary Argan Oil   That’s right, Kahina has just released an Argan Oil that’s heart-healthy and can be used in place of olive oil for cooking.  Housed in a gorgeous glass bottle, I think this would make an excellent gift for a foodie.  The Argan seeds are first roasted and then pressed to give the oil its nutty, delicious flavor.  Get it here.   

Ulili Candle   Kahina making a candle?  I can’t stand it!  Oh, and it’s such a gorgeous one and another perfect gift for someone.   Kahina founder,  Katharine L’Heureux teamed up with Ulili founder, Omar Benjelloun to create this little work of art.  This candle smells so pretty, bright and sexy.  Beyond the scent (cedar, clove, ylang ylang, and orange blossom essential oils) this candle is cast in a stamped ceramic jar and is so modern and well-made.  The candles are made from vegetable wax and beeswax that has been “harvested at the base of Morocco’s Rif Mountains.”  Clearly, a lot of thought, talent and creativity went into making their first candle as it is beautiful on every level…even the box is extraordinary!   Get it here.   

HONORÉ DES PRES LOVE COCONUTS 

Love Coconuts has been my go-to perfume for many, many years now.  Don’t worry, I know coconut can be very scary when it comes to fragrance, but Honoré des Pres does it right!  This non-toxic fragrance is made with pure extract of white coconut milk, coriander leaf, tonic bean, vanilla bourbon, and white cedar so it has this spicy, sophisticated, sexy (not at all synthetic) scent.  It’s also subtle, so you’ll only smell it close-up (not one of those elevator stinkers)!   In researching info on this scent, I see that it is described as the scent of “happiness and optimism!”   Make sure to check out their other fragrances, too (Vamp is a best-seller).  Get it here.

PLENI NATURALS

I’ll admit it, my sister has a two year-old and I was supposed to hand this over to her, but I couldn’t bear it.  Pleni Naturals is a non-toxic line for babies and kids and it’s just absolutely adorable, the products smell so good, the ingredients are non-toxic, vegan and gluten-free and, well, I just wanted to keep them!  This California-based company uses the nutritious benefits of fruits and vegetables to care for the sensitive skins of littles ones (and big, too, ahem).  On top of that, it’s affordable.  Their entire set (which I think is wonderful as a gift) is only $48 and includes their body wash, baby oil and baby balm!   Perfect for baby showers and getting moms hooked on clean baby products.  Get it here.
